Bodyweight Workout – 25 minutes!

Hello hello! It’s been a while since I’ve written anything, and there’s not really a reason for it – other than it wasn’t a priority and I didn’t have too much exciting to say! Not that I necessarily have anything important to say now 🙂

I’m going to stop running so much (as my daily workout) and focus more on rest and recovery.  I still want to move my body every day, so I’ve been doing bodyweight workouts, TRX workouts, full-body weightlifting workouts, HIIT workouts, power yoga, etc.  Nothing super strenuous.

Ariel told me about the workout she did over the weekend, and it sounded like a great one!  So I did it today, and she wasn’t lying.  If you push yourself to crank out the reps at a decent pace, you’ll get a good sweat on!  Thanks for this workout idea, Ariel!

Do 10 reps of each exercise, then sprint to the end of a driveway-type (or do 10 burpees instead if you’re lacking in space).  Then do 9 reps of each exercise, then sprint/burpee again.  8 reps, 7 reps, 6,5,4,3,2,1 and don’t forget to sprint/burpee between each set!

10 … 1 reps of… Squats, Push-ups, Plank Shoulder Taps, Lunges Each Leg (forward, back, curtsy, whatever!), Superman Back Extensions, Sit-ups (whatever variation you want! I did CrossFit sit-ups, where you butterfly your legs and go all the way down and up)

If you need a fast, no-equipment, short-on-space workout, this is the one for you!  Let me know if you give it a go 🙂

Verse of the Day

2 Timothy 2:9 – “He has saved us and called us to a holy life — not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace.  This grace was given to us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.”

How appropriate for my life right now.  It’s time to stop proving my worth to myself and to others and live my truth.  I don’t need to earn favor from anyone OR from God.  God loves me unconditionally and calls on me to lead others to Him by example.  Grace is given to me; grace I will give to others.
